Argentina is a big country located near the south of Latin America. It covers a vast territory with a huge variety of ecosystems. During this trip, you will experience the dry, deserted area of Salta and its surroundings, including the rainbow mountains of Purmamarca. You will also get to witness the lush subtropical forests of Iguazu, the wetlands of Puerto Valle, and Rio de la Plata in Buenos Aires.

Main Activities
DAY 1 – Arrival and City tour
Upon arrival, you will be met by our representatives who will assist you with your transfer to the Hotel.
The Cosmopolitan City of Buenos Aires, European in appearance, is known as the Paris of South America. With its cobblestone streets, tiny cafes, and striking architecture, Buenos Aires cements itself as a magical place. No matter the date, there will be chances to participate in cultural events including the best polo in the world, excellent football (soccer), fantastic food wafting throughout the streets, or time to enjoy the local gaucho game of “pato”, a sort of basketball on horseback.

DAY 2 – Buenos Aires
Full day to Explore the Tigre River Delta.
The day includes traveling by boat along the river, visiting historical sites and enjoying a delicious meal by the river. This delta is one of the largest in the world, despite not emptying out into an ocean. You’ll be surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful scenery.

DAY 3– Buenos Aires/ Salta
Transfer to the domestic airport to fly to Salta. Upon arrival you’ll then be transferred to the Hotel.
In the afternoon you will have a tour: a 3-hour visit of Salta, one of the oldest cities founded in the country by the Spanish conquerors. The cultural heritage, the colonial architecture, the rich arts from the area, the folk rhythms and exquisite regional food mixed with contemporary art movements, all contribute to an incredible experience.
A visit to MAAM “Museo de Archeology de Alta Montaña” (Museum of High-Altitude Archaeology) is included, as well as a hike to San Lorenzo.

DAY 4– Salta/ Tilcara:
Transfer to Tilcara, to the village of Humahuaca. Within walking distance is El Pucará, a restored pre-Columbian fort that offers spectacular views. The access fee (paid locally) includes access to the Archeology Museum, which houses an excellent and diverse collection of artifacts and offers an insight of the native cultural beliefs.

DAY 5– Tilcara:
You’ll have a full-day expedition that includes the multicolored landscape of the Humahuaca canyon, peaceful villages, old chapels, native markets, small museums, and the remains of an ancient pre-Inca fortified town.
You will also visit Purmamarca, the base town from where you can explore the amazing Cerro de los Siete Colores (the hill of 7 colors or rainbow hill). This polychromatic mountain is best seen from a hill on the edge of the village. The local market is also a very nice place to visit, as it has a variety of brightly colored clothing and accessories worn by the people in the area.
To finish your day you will continue to Salinas Grandes, where you will appreciate the rudimentary exploitation of salt.

DAY 6– Tilcara trek/ Salta:
For 5000 years the Andean inhabitants have been using the llamas as pack animals to aid them along the winding paths they encountered. You will walk following those ancient paths, fulfilling yourselves with the spirit that only the hills and the amazing landscape can offer. You will reach unique places around Tilcara and the area beyond.
After climbing through the canyons you will reach the Puna Highlands. There you will be able to see numerous vicuña herds, as well as families of llama herdsmen living according to ancient traditions.
Transfer back to Salta.

DAY 7–Salta/ Iguazú Falls
In the morning you will have time to enjoy the city. The flight to Iguazu is in the early afternoon, for which a transfer will be provided.
Upon arrival to Puerto Iguazu, our guide will assist the transfer to the hotel.

DAY 8– Full day Iguazu Falls
Iguazu falls is composed of curtains of water falling from a high rock cliff.
You will have a full day exploring the amazing Iguazu Falls, the forest and the wildlife. After a first stop at the visitor’s center, we will board a fun small train that connects the most interesting areas of the park: The Upper and lower trails and the drop of the biggest waterfall, the Devil´s Throat.
You will also enjoy a boat trip navigating upstream the Iguazu River to approach the most impressive waterfall, the Devil´s Throat.
In the afternoon you will return to the hotel.

DAY 9– Iguazu / Puerto Valle:
Transfer from Iguazu to Puerto Valle, 5 hours due south to Corrientes Province.
You’ll get the chance to sit on the banks of the Paraná River, a perfect place to relax after and enjoy nature.
The peacefulness of Puerto Valle overlooks the river, and while resting on a shady hammock, your trip will be coming to an end.
You will have a free day to enjoy the lodge and the activities it offers.
Puerto Valle´s off-the-beaten-track location promises undiscovered attractions such as the Iberá Marshlands, the Paraná River, a nearby Caiman farm and its surrounding wetland ecosystem.

DAY 10–Puerto Valle:
Full day to explore this paradisiac destination and enjoy the different activities offered by the Hotel. Activities range from boat rides and kayaking, to fishing and photo safaris.

DAY 11- Puerto Valle / Buenos Aires:
You will have a transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires so you can connect with your international flight.
