COTOPAXI CHALLENGE: (5,897 MTS/ 19,347 FEET)

The Cotopaxi Volcano, an almost perfect snow cone, and one of South America’s most famous volcanoes is unique in the world and is perhaps, next to Galapagos, the greatest symbol of Ecuador’s natural geography, recognized worldwide. Thousands of climbers from all nationalities have achieved its peak and many others dream of doing it. Cotopaxi is located in the Eastern mountain range of the Andes and is part of what Edward Whymper called the Avenue of the Volcanoes, as at the other side of the Inter-Andean valley is the Western mountain range.

The program takes you first to the summit of three smaller volcanoes in preparation for the Cotopaxi climb.

Note: We can cut this and all or our tours in parts and/or adapt it to your main interest location.
